Why should i choose these products

Our team have collectively 100 years experience in landscape construction, our MD has 26 years experience in commercial and domestic landscape construction and design. We recommend Ecogrid specifically because pound for pound, it is by far the best product on the market. We can sell all others but choose to put ours and your trust in the best believing the bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

Below are just a few reasons why, as a company with collectively over 70 years experience in landscape construction, we choose Ecogrid products.

Ecogrid
• 50mm deep, 7mm wall thickness, the thickest on the market
• Load capacity 400 tonnes/m2
• More UV stable than others on the market.
• More aesthetically pleasing, can be completely covered.
• NATO approved by British and American military.
• 5 different depths of paver available.
• Recognised World leader as the original.
• 9.72 kg/m2, almost double the weight of others.
• Up to 95 square metres on a pallet(e30), economical delivery.
• Patented safety locking system, badly copied by others.
• Made from recycled Polyethylene.
• Swift and economical fitting due to tile size and locking deign 100m2/man/hour.
• Excellent on site, internet or telephone advice from UK qualified staff.
• Installation teams specialising in this product available.
• UK training centre.

Golpla
Only 38mm thick
Needs clipping together with supplied ‘nails’

Bodpave 85
Has an integrated ground spike making fitting very difficult, almost impossible in hard ground or if roots are prevalent
Clip system is non-fixed making vertical lift likely resulting in separation
Ground spike creates lifting in most conditions allowing debris to undermine the surface causing lifting and deterioration

Bodpave 40
Needs clipping together
Only 40mm thick

GRB grids
Polyolefin
Only 40mm
Only 4mm wall thickness

Hebden 40
Only 40mm
Only 4mm wall thickness
4.14kg/m2
Poor quality locking system

Truckpave
Only 53% void
High installation time/cost
Excessively visible
Needs a retaining edge

Aco ground guard
Larger tile, rectangular. Less elastomeric surface
Impossible to unclip without full excavation
Needs retaining spikes making installation far more difficult

Geogrid , Envirotrak, GF40, GF30, GF50 (All same product rebranded)
Only 38mm tile depth available, therefore less gravel or soil compaction rates.
Wall thickness of 3.5mm.
500mm x 500mm tile, less elastomeric, more prone to lifting
No pads or other accessories.
Clip system not as secure as Ecogrid, poor copy on the original, easily pulled apart.
Less load bearing capacity than Ecogrid E50.
Only 4 tiles per square metre, less able to settle to ground conditions.

The greatest problem when one chooses to purchase an inferior product is the fact that there is a strong likelihood of the grid lifting if not securely ‘locked’ together. If it does lift then the surface ingresses under the base which further exacerbates the problem. As the surface lifts, more material is deposited resulting in not only an aesthetic problem but a practical and health and safety issue. A lot of tiles cannot be ‘snagged’ and require the lifting of a large surface area in order to fix what may be a small problem.

Caveat Emptor- let the buyer beware.
